Fun! Fun! Fun!

I have made a game, I call  the "Picking Apples Game"  This game is fun for any age, but it will help young children with number recognition and counting to four as well.  Pictured below is a picture of the game. I made this one of felt.  However, you can make one out of paper if you choose.  Just click on the picture of the "Picking Apples Game" below, and you're ready to download.

Honor God At Home School

One precious thing about Home School is you can honor God and not be sent home.  You can pray, wear a shirt or hat with a Christian logo.  It's great!
When I home schooled my son, we always began our day with a Bible story and prayer.  After our study and prayer, we would do different activities before we got into the "Hard Stuff" so he called it.  This gave us a time to kind of get our brains in gear for learning.
As a home school mom who has taught her son all the way through 12th grade,  I can tell you the years I had teaching him were most precious.  I had the joy of  teaching my child to read.  I got to watch him grow as he entered new areas of learning.  Home Schooling  gave me the opportunity to be right there and see every new thing he learned, right when he learned it. I was there when he wrote his first essay, when he wrote his first sentence, when he took his first spelling test.  Oh, it was great!
May God bless you in your Home School this year, and may it be a blessing.  My son has graduated.  I miss teaching him, so I started tutoring children through the summer and after school.
I'm glad you're giving home school a chance.  You'll never regrett spending this time with your children.

How to Get Started Home Schooling

Many people ask me how to get started.  It's a very simple process.  Go to your school, probably a super intendant's office.  Tell them you wish to sign your child up for home school.  They will give you the proper forms to fill out.  One form is a waver saying you will not longer hold the school responsible for your child's education, another form is information ... what grade your children are in .... subjects you will be teaching .... hours a day you will be working ..... when you intend to start and when you are going to end your school year.  "Just basic questions, nothing complicated."  It only takes a few minutes and you are on your way to the best form of education a child can have.
There are many free resources online, from printable material to free down loadable books.  On this site there are free resources as well as links to other free sites.
