New Member of Our Family

This is Hunter our new puppy.  He is a Raggle, part Rat Terrier and part Beagle.  He has been keeping us busy, as if we were not busy already.  Anyway, I thought I would share his photo with you.  Hunter is very active and he's about six weeks old in this picture.

Better Late Than Never! Free Download October 11, 2010

I apologize for the being so late with getting this on here.  We were on vacation last week, and to top it all off 

our internet was on the blink.  

Here we are Columbus Day, with what was to be Friday's download.

This week I have sight word practice for kindergarten.  This list of words are words your kindergarten child will be learning this year.  There are flash cards, as well as traceable flash cards for your child.  There are also a few sight word puzzles and work pages too.

It is very important that children learn about the political process.

Here is a step that will help your child become interested .

Below is a link that allows you to see what  your senators, representatives, and governors have voted for. 

Discuss with your children each thing your candidates have voted for.

Then let your children vote on a pretend ballot.  

You may be surprised.

New Fall Book

I love fall!  SO....  for my favorite season, I have made a printable book for you to download.  It is called 

"My Autumn Book"  

The first four pages of the download is the illustrated version of the book.  The next four pages are the same book, however, this book is not illustrated.  This way the children can illustrate it themselves if they wish to do so.

I had a lot of fun writing this book.  I hope you enjoy it.

We have gotten school in full swing around my house. 

How about you?

As children go to school the need for the Word of God is more vital than ever.  How wonderful school used to be when they used the old text books with the Bible  taught from their pages.  

That's why it's so great to be homeschooling. You can teach your children Godly principles that otherwise 

they would not receive in public schools.

This week you can get back to the scriptures with these writing  practice sheets.  These are done is cursive and printing so they can be used at most grade levels.  

There is also a writing prompt at the end to encourage children write about why they follow God.
